Albuquerque Engagement Photographer
Most people I photograph aren't big on having their picture taken. Thats kind of the point.
Engagement Photography in New Mexico For people who hate being photographed
Engagement sessions should not feel like a performance. If the idea of posing in a field while someone counts down from three sounds exhausting. You're exactly who I work with.

I shoot in real places around New Mexico: the Bosque, Old Town, the Sandia Mountains, wherever actually means something to you. If you spent every Sunday at the Albuquerque Bio Park or took your first walk together along the Bosque, that's where we should be. Not some random location I defaulted to because it photographs well.
Most couples tell me afterward it was nothing like what they were dreading.

What an engagement session actually looks like

You show up, we walk around, talk, probably laugh at something awkward. I'm working the whole time but it doesn't feel like a shoot. No posing prompts that make you feel like you're in a JCPenney catalog. No forced eye contact with the camera, just the two of you doing what you actually do in a place that looks like New Mexico.
Sessions run around 60 minutes. You'll get a full gallery not just a highlight reel.

Where we shoot

New Mexico has better light than anywhere I've worked:
The Bosque in fall. The Sandia foothills at golden hour. Old Town Albuquerque. Jemez Springs. White Sands. University of New Mexico campus . The East Mountains. Albuquerque Botanic Gardens. Los Poblanos.
If you already have a place in mind, I probably know of it. If you don't, I'll suggest something based on what you tell me about yourselves, not just what looks good in photos
Still figuring it out? That's fine.
Reach out and ask me anything.
No pitch, no pressure.

Out here your love story becomes a little more legendary.
