a few facts & favorites . . .

From childhood to my adult life I have been playing sports. The majority of that time was playing soccer. I loved the adrenaline-filled moments and the teamwork.

I really love gaming, whether it's on the PC, on a console, or a board game. My all-time favorite games are Mass Effect and Bioshock.

Meet my family

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, we met at 16 and have been side by side ever since. We both went to the University of New Mexico. Go Lobos! He’s a big sports guy, so there’s almost always a game on in the background.
I used to be a very competative athlete, but over the years I’ve found myself drawn more and more to the arts.
We have one son, Grayson. Our life right now looks like a lot of Minecraft, time at the pool, cheering him on at the next sport he's playing, and figuring out whatever backyard water system he’s currently engineering.

Why photography?
I’m a sixth-generation New Mexican, with roots in Northern New Mexico. My family’s history here goes back to the 1800s, and growing up, legacy was never just a concept, it was something I could see and feel. It showed up in the stories my grandfather told, in the land we cared for, and in the quiet details that were passed down over time.
I remember standing in my grandfather's office, looking at these massive panoramic rodeo photographs covering the walls. They weren’t just photos, they felt like pieces of history you could step into. Like proof that these moments mattered. I think that’s where it started for me. Because now, when I photograph a wedding, I’m not just thinking about how it looks in the moment. I’m thinking about how it will feel to come back to these photos. When they are no longer just from a day, but something you return to.
